Inez Barlatier

Inez Barlatier is a multidisciplinary performing artist of Haitian descent, born and raised in Miami, FL. She joined her father’s band, Jan Sebon & Kazak International, at the age of 12 years old. Inez led her own band, Kazoots, and was also a member of Venus Rising: Women’s Drum and Dance Ensemble performing as a drummer, dancer and singer. With her ancestral contralto voice, Inez’s music is inspired by multi-cultural wisdom and rhythms. A 2017 Knight Arts Champion grant recommended by the Miami Light Project produced her debut EP entitled MOUN|MOON.
