Collecting the Pavilion: 20 Years of Art Acquisitions celebrates 20 years of collecting with 20 artworks, one for each year since the Washington Pavilion opened on June 1, 1999. Formerly Washington High School, the Washington Pavilion became the innovative multi-disciplinary organization it is today after a multi-year transformation and renovation project. From internationally known artist Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997) to accomplished and beloved local artist Carl Grupp (American, 1939-2019,) this exhibition celebrates the past two decades of innovation and fun at the Washington Pavilion, and looks forward to many more years of bringing art to our community.
