The South Dakota Symphony Youth Orchesta joins the SDSO for Lowak Shoppala’ by Composer-in-Residence Jerod Tate. Mahler’s unfinished Symphony No. 10 was a beacon, and a bridge, toward the 20th century. The Adagio is the only completed movement from Mahler’s final work which the SDSO performs as the next installment in its Mahler cycle. Bartók’s was the first concerto for orchestra, a work that features the entire orchestra and its individual members as soloists. This unparalleled work of virtuosity allows your SDSO to shine as the truly remarkable ensemble it is!
