Jordan Thornton is a printmaker who primarily works in woodcuts, but also utilizes collage and installation. Taking from imagery from the natural world and everyday objects, the work she creates is meant to comment on and share her observations of the world.
Jordan received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Montana State University in 2012. She currently works as an Artist-in-Residence through the South Dakota Arts Council’s Artists in Schools and Communities Program. Jordan also teaches in the Community Learning Center at the Washington Pavilion, and assists in the art galleries at the Washington Pavilion.
