Call for Artists — Featured Artist Exhibit
The Sioux Falls Arts Council is introducing our first Featured Artist Exhibit open to local artists.
Local artists who live or work in the Greater Sioux Falls Area (Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook and Turner Counties).
The exhibit will rotate every 3 months: January-March, April-June, July-September, October-November. The transition will be as follows: Current exhibit will pick up their work by the 20th of the last month, incoming exhibit may begin installation on the 25th. * Exception to this schedule will be in 2016, when the rotations will be August-October, November-December *

Up to 7 digital images
August-October: June 1st / Notification July 1st
November-December: August 1st / Notification September 1st
Beginning in 2017:
January-March Exhibit: October 1st / Notification given November 1st
April-June Exhibit: January 1st / Notification given February 1st
July-September Exhibit: April 1st / Notification given May 1st
October-December Exhibit: July 1st / Notification given August 1st
Your work may be listed for sale while it is on exhibit at the Sioux Falls Arts Council. All sales transactions will be conducted directly between the artist and the purchaser. Sold pieces may not be removed until your exhibit rotation is complete. The Sioux Falls Arts Council will not collect any commissions. A donation back to the Arts Council is encouraged, but not required.
The Sioux Falls Arts Council will host an Artist Reception on First Friday of the first month of your rotation. The Arts Council will print informational brochures, which will include your artist biography, contact information, and images of your work. You will be featured on the home page of ArtsSiouxFalls.org for the duration of your exhibit. Once your exhibit has ended, your information will move to the Featured Artist page of the website.
The Sioux Falls Arts Council office is open Monday-Friday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, every First Friday 5:00 – 7:00 pm and by appointment.
If your submission is not selected for the next upcoming rotation, you will be notified and asked if you would like to re-submit for the following rotation. You may submit additional information, or request that the same submission be carried forward.
